Photobox ImageEarly shows are nice for getting to go to bed at a reasonable time, but the downside of them is that they're often hard to get to on top - especially when they're virtually in another state! Okay, so that's a bit of an overstatement, but going to the Compound Grill in North Phoenix is one hell of a trek. [smile] But we really wanted to see Strange Young Things down there tonight, with visions of Corey climbing over all the tables, throwing salt shakers etc.

Amazingly despite the comedy of errors on the 60, we got there only about 25 minutes late. We really expected to be the only people from T-Town there, so it was cool to see Norman there when we rocked up. If anyone likes these guys as much as us, it's him I guess! [smile] So we had a Tempe table going on amongst the normals, which we were expecting to be freaked out.

Photobox ImageFun show with Rich sitting in on drums. It was a bunch of covers when we showed up, which soon turned into originals. I'm not saying that it was because of that, but it we were happy about it either way. Two notible covers pulled out were Cocaine Blues and Maggie May (which went off much smoother than St. Patricks Day, and sounded really cool).

Photobox ImageThe one thing that sucks about showing up late is missing Bang The Dash - so it worked out nicely that they closed with that rather than opened with it. Man, talk about the epitome of a rock 'n roll anthem.
